  1. The A4000T Loudspeaker Enhancer

  5. This is a horribly simple hardware hack to improve the loudspeaker
  6. output in the A4000T. In this computer, the loudspeaker is mounted
  7. free in the air, so it suffers from acoustic shortcuts. To avoid
  8. this, it is enough to put some plate around it, which can simply
  9. be made of cardboard. The file loudspeaker.iff is a drawing. Take
  10. a piece of not too thick cardboard and cut it out after the drawing.
  11. The radial cuts from the inner to the outer circle are there to
  12. make tabs. Bend every other tab up or down, so that you can fix the
  13. cardboard with these tabs on the loudspeaker. Caution: Do not
  14. destroy the loudspeaker membrane! You will immediately recognize
  15. which way you have to insert the cardboard when you look at the
  16. environment of the loudspeaker. Try then the same sound output
  17. without and with this device and you will recognize a tremendous
  18. difference in quality und loudness.

  20. Dies ist ein furchtbar simpler Hardware-Hack, um die Lautsprecherausgabe
  21. im A4000T zu verbessern. In diesem Computer ist der Lautsprecher frei
  22. in der Luft hängend montiert, so daß die Wiedergabe an akustischem
  23. Kurzschluß leidet. Um dies zu vermeiden, reicht es aus, eine Platte
  24. um den Lautsprecher herum zu montieren, die einfach aus Pappe oder
  25. Karton sein kann. Die Datei loudspeaker.iff ist eine Zeichnung dazu.
  26. Man nehme ein Stück nicht zu dicker Pappe und schneide es nach der
  27. Zeichnung aus. Die radialen Schnitte zwischen dem inneren und äußeren
  28. Kreis dienen dazu, Laschen zu erzeugen. Man biegt die Laschen
  29. abwechselnd aufwärts und abwärts, so daß man die Pappe mit ihnen auf
  30. dem Lautsprecher festklemmen kann. Vorsicht: Nicht die Lautsprechermembran
  31. dabei beschädigen! Man sieht sofort, wie herum die Pappe am Lautsprecher
  32. montiert wird, wenn man sich die Umgebung des Lautsprechers genauer
  33. ansieht. Wenn man dann denselben Sound einmal ohne und einmal mit
  34. dieser Pappe vergleicht, wird man einen immensen Unterschied im
  35. Klang und in der Lautstärke feststellen.
